Protecting your personal data matters to us. We process it in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on personal data processing.
1. Data we process
For reservations and vehicle rental we process the following categories of personal data:
- identification and contact details: full name, email, phone number,
- driving licence number (to verify eligibility to drive),
- booking details: selected vehicle, dates, pickup location, add-ons, note,
- data arising from performing the contract (handover report, any damage).
2. Purposes and legal basis
- Handling the reservation and performing the rental contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Compliance with legal obligations (accounting, taxes) — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Legitimate interest of the controller (asset protection, claims, fraud prevention) — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as necessary to handle the reservation and perform the contract, and further for periods required by law (in particular accounting and tax documents for 10 years). After that, data is erased.
4. Recipients
We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing. It may be disclosed only to: our web hosting provider (processor), accounting office, an insurer in case of a claim, and public authorities where required by law. We do not transfer data outside the EU/EEA.
5. Your rights
- right of access and to a copy of your data,
- right to rectification of inaccurate data,
- right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
- right to restriction of processing,
- right to data portability,
- right to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz).
6. Security
We have adopted appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, in particular a secure connection (HTTPS), encrypted storage of credentials, and access limited to authorised persons.
